Founded in 1986 by a group of senior Development Specialists and Researchers from Health, Nutrition, Medical Research, Agriculture and Community Development fraternities with technical back-up from “The Food and Nutrition Unit” (now NaNA) of the Department of Medical and Health and “Medical Research Council/Dunn Nutrition Unit”, (MRC/DNU), University of Cambridge, UK (based in Fajara/Kiang Keneba, The Gambia)

Registered as local NGO in 1986

Has been a household name in Nutrition education and programming for many decades
